The nickel and chromium content of this alloy makes it resistant to a wide range of corrosive environments. The alloy is particularly resistant to non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acids. The high molybdenum content and nitrogen supply resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while copper enhances resistance to sulfuric acid.Incoloy material 926 alloy is a fully austenitic alloy containing 6% molybdenum, which provides superior corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive, aqueous environments.
