Introduction to the Butanox M-50 Butanol M-50 is a general purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, or MEKP, commonly used at room temperature and high temperatures for curing unsaturated resins. The M-50/ Cobalt accelerator curing system is particularly suitable for curing paints and castings, laminates, gelcoat resins, varnishes and resin pours, in addition, as opposed to benzoyl peroxide/amine accelerator curing systems, can be used to make light resistant components.
